Sunday at Fitzroy

Morning service         11.00am
Evening service         7.00pm

Fitzroy is like an extended Family – that’s why we attempt to provide forms of Christian Worship that connect naturally with the various sections of the Family.
On the first Sunday Morning of each month we celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion in a thoughtful, dignified and loving way.

On the third Sunday of each month we are developing a Youth Church form of worship, which is planned and carried through by our young people and their leaders.

About once every two months the whole congregation comes together for an All-Age Family Service after which there is a simple Bread and Cheese Lunch in the Alexander Hall. Donations from this go to supporting groups like TEAR Fund and Christian Aid, which promote development and aid programmes. These lunches are usually packed out because there is a high level of commitment in the congregation to alleviating the needs of people in the developing World.

Periodically, we run a programme of evening services called Faith Academy. Within this we look in depth at specific issues which impact on our faith and lifestyle.

What you will notice most is that each Service is different in its theme, in its musical expression and in the people who take part in it. The content is always Scriptural because God’s inspired Word is itself always inspiring. The preaching seeks to be relevant to the needs of our members today, to challenge us in our decision to follow Christ and to invigorate our faith for the coming week. This Good News of Jesus Christ has made a big difference to the quality of our lives and continues to do so.

Our patterns and styles of Worship are evolving and will continue to do so. But our aim is always the same: to give God the best we can, and to receive from him the best He wants to give.
