Women's Aid Work in 2021 -2022

  • 543 Women stayed in Women’s Aid refuges throughout NI
    ?397 Children stayed in refuge with their mum
    8 Babies born to women in refuge
    39 Women & 29 Children with no recourse to public funds stayed in refuge
    7,444 Women received support while staying in their homes
    5,897 Children had mums supported in Women’s Aid services
    242 Women who were pregnant received support from Women’s Aid
    2,033 Women with complex needs were supported by Women’s Aid

Supporting our local Women’s Aid Hostel

 

Donations of the following items can be left in the Women’s Aid container under the stairs at the end of the corridor at the back of the church:
•Toiletries such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, tooth brushes, hand cream, face cloths, towels etc.
•Clothes for women, children and babies. Nightwear, lingerie, comfortable casual clothing etc.
•Toys, children’s books, colouring books and pencils for children and adults
•Financial donations can be given to Barbara Dass or Roberta Clotworthy

Please note that all items must be in excellent condition and all clothes and towels must be new and have the shop label still attached.
