Hospital and Home Visits
Our outreach programs aim to help people in the local community experience the truth and love of Jesus Christ. Outreach programs and events allow us to help local families and invite them to get to know our church, our Saviour, and us. We also reach out to Fitzroy visitors, making sure they are greeted when they visit and that someone follows up with them afterward.
Ways to Get Involved in Outreach
Everyone at Fitzroy can help spread the truth and love of Jesus to our community.
Join us and help in a variety of ways, from welcoming visitors on Sunday to following up with them afterward; working in Botanic School, the local primary school; chatting to students on a Thursday night at Nightreach; working with young people and old people, in a range of activities or getting involved in local reconciliation work.
Participate with us as we help local organisations, such as
Women’s Aid Group
The local Women’s Aid hostel provides accommodation and support for women and their children who have been victims of domestic violence. Donations of toiletries and towels, which will meet the women’s immediate needs, are given to the hostel monthly. A collection box for these items is located in the back hallway of Fitzroy.
Embrace works with the local immigrant population, particularly those who are homeless or are out of work. Men's clothes and toiletries are collected quarterly for distribution.
Learn to share your faith through online articles, DVDs, and books that teach you to explain what you believe and answer the tough questions that people ask, or come to one of the classes organised once or twice a year.
